Persuasive videos to share our historical knowledge of Anglo-Saxon house

Year 4 completed a two-week persuasive writing unit in the Spring term.

In Week One, the children learnt about the features of a persuasive text. They also explored how they could use emotive language and adding more description to develop their writing. They then used their knowledge about Anglo-Saxon houses to plan and write a persuasive text to sell an Anglo-Saxon house.

In Week Two, they worked in groups to create a property show to sell an Anglo-Saxon house. First, they wrote scripts for the property show, using persuasive phrases to persuade the buyers. They then filmed sections of the show in different areas of the school grounds. After filming, the children edited the clips to create their property shows. The children all thoroughly enjoyed creating their videos.

Please enjoy the videos below that the children created.
