Give it a Go – an outdoor adventurous opportunity
In October, a group of twelve Year 4 students were invited to take part in a “Give it a go” a round robin activity day, at the West Leeds Activity Centre, in Armley.
This was an exciting opportunity to enjoy a range of outdoor adventurous activities, with a focus on challenging one’s limits. These new experiences included scaling an enormous climbing tower, driving peddle go karts, beating an assault course, the chance to build shelters in the woods and a very fast (and very wet) slip and slide experience to finish. This is one example of how we use Sport Premium funding to provided new experiences for children – this time through Active Schools.
Every child had a go at every activity, and they were extremely brave and confident. Mr Raines and Mrs Bashir were deeply impressed by the behavior and attitudes of all children.
