Computing - learn to stay safe and sensible online
Year Two have taken the time to reflect on how to use the school computers safely and sensibly. During our class assemblies, the children discussed the School Computing Agreement (Key Stage One) and why these rules are important and necessary for everyone to follow.
The class talked about keeping passwords private and never sharing them with others, as well as being kind and respectful when using technology, both in school and outside of school. They also learned that if they ever see something unsafe or unkind online, it is important to speak out and not ignore it. The children discussed why telling a trusted adult straight away about any computing or online problems helps to keep everyone safe.
After sharing their ideas, the pupils proudly signed the School Computing Agreement to show they understand their responsibilities when using school technology. It was lovely to see how seriously they took this important promise. The children have further signed individual agreements with the aim of reflecting on these points regularly.
Well done to Year 2 for showing such maturity and responsibility as digital learners!
