Indoor learning opportunities

The new Reception cohort started well in September and have been very confident in their new surroundings.

The children have found out that there is a lot to explore inside. They have enjoyed the play dough, water and sand; this involved learning how to put on the aprons and where all the equipment goes at tidy up time. Both classes have enjoyed creative opportunities too, and they have painted and stuck paper and card to make models and crafts.

The children are becoming skilful at finding their own resources and putting things away too, making them more independent learners. They practise their maths skills, as they tidy up by sorting, matching and counting various resources into their appropriate places.

In the classroom there is always is dressing up to be done, brick models to construct, games to play and books to read. The children have done so much, and they are now being encouraged to think what they might do next.
