A Growth Mindset Approach - how to get unstuck
Year 3 have been thinking about how they can ‘Get Unstuck’ in their learning.
The classes talked about the school’s learning characteristics and what each of the words means: effort, courage, independence, focus, perseverance and resilience. These characteristics are also embodied in the school’s learning superheroes to make them more memorable.
The children thought about how these six attributes could be used in learning. Then they created superhero comic strips to remind everyone of different “get unstuck” strategies that people can use when they find their work difficult.
