Shree Hindu Temple visit

On Thursday 24th October, Year 4 visited the Shree Hindu Temple.

We were met by Mr Patel and Mrs Bhardwaj who told us that Hinduism is the World’s oldest religion and no one knows when it began. They went on to explain that Hindus believe that there is one god who takes many forms and that this god is in everyone. The ideas and concepts were hard but the children listened well and asked some really intelligent questions to clarify their understanding.

We were invited to stay and take part in the daily prayers and some children even had the opportunity to ring the bells to let the gods know that we were there.

It was a fantastic experience and it was very kind of Mr Patel and Mrs Bharadwaj to make us feel so welcome.
