As part of our Creative Curriculum topic about the Stone Age, we transformed our classroom tables into caves and created our very own Stone Age inspired cave paintings.
We used a range of earth-coloured pastels to draw woolly mammoths, sabre-tooth tigers and cave people with spears! We took inspiration from a range of real-life cave paintings from around the world.
While we created our paintings, we listened to Stone Age music and even had the lights off to make it feel realistic. We discovered that it was quite a tricky skill to master but we really enjoyed working in teams creating our drawings to tell Stone Age stories.
You can see some of our finished cave paintings in these photographs.
