Mrs Glosek and were extremely impressed with all children’s engagement in home learning during our bubble closure within the first few weeks of school. Children and parents put in a huge amount of effort to do lots of reading on Bug Club. Mrs Glosek and I sent lots of Bug Club certificates to them.
Children worked with their parents to make their learning their own. For example, in Maths children made their own part whole wholes and ten frames using the resources they had at home, like, cars, Numicon, fruit, and counters.
We saw lots of lovely videos of children acting out and talking about their learning. This was particularly noticeable in English, when acting out the Funnybones story. Children used lots of actions using the Talk for Writing actions of first, next, after that and finally.
