Message from the Governing Board

I hope this finds you and your family safe and well.

The governing board wanted to share some messages with you to support your understanding of how we are approaching the challenges created by the Covid-19 pandemic. The governors and senior leadership team are committed, as always, to ensuring all decisions reflect our school vision and values. Our biggest priority is to keep children and staff safe and offer the most support to those in greatest need across our school community.

Firstly, we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the entire teaching and support team who have worked tirelessly, often unseen, to respond to the ever-changing expectations issued by the Government during the pandemic.

We have created a series of short video messages to provide you with some insight into the challenges being faced and the decisions being made. You can watch these videos below:

Video 1 Jimmy Parvin – Introduction and overview

Video 2Esther Davy – Safeguarding (Part 1)

Video 3Liz O’Shea – Safeguarding (Part 2)

Video 4Niki Kilby – Summary

We are hoping to continue with this method of communication in future, so please feel free to feedback on how useful you find it or if there are any other topics you would like covered. You can get in touch via email at

We’d also like to take this opportunity to express our thanks to the wider school community. The messages of support and appreciation for the work being done have been gratefully received and mean a lot to the team in school, who are working so hard to help get us through this difficult situation.

Best wishes,

John England

Chair of Governors
