Elyssa wrote a PowerPoint presentation about being Sikh and presented it to her class. Sukvir, who is also Sikh, helped her present it and they both answered many questions from their friends.
Elyssa and Sukvir described the origins of the Sikh religion, explained there were 10 gurus and that the holy book is known as the Guru Granth Sahib. They also told the class how being a Sikh helped shape their lives and beliefs.
It was wonderful that both children were happy to prepare this work in their own timey and share it with the class, so they could learn more about the Sikh religion. The round of applause they received at the end showed how much their efforts were appreciated and was well deserved.
Thank you, Mr Rivers
