The whole school, from Reception to Year 6, visited St Andrews for a Christmas Carol Service on the last day of term. It is always a special occasion, not least because it is one of the very few times when we can get everyone into one place. The Year 6 pupils helped Reception on the walk to St Andrews and did this brilliantly.
Mr Pickering led proceedings for a final time, before he moves to Scotland at Easter. He has made a huge contribution to Talbot, as a minister, community governor and friend over the past 12 years. Everyone would like to thank him warmly and wish him the best of luck.
Mr England (our Chair of Governors) and Mrs Gill both did speeches thanking the staff and pupils for their hard work this term.
During the Carol Service, each year group led songs from their nativity productions; a selection of Year 6 pupils did readings from the Christmas Story and Mrs Liddington and her School Choir did the final songs (including a solo from Lola). The event was a real treat and left everyone feeling ready for Christmas.
Thanks also to all the parents and carers who helped walk the children and enjoyed the service.
