On Tuesday 25th February, Year 2 visited the Sinai Synagogue. We were read a story by Debbie about Purim, which is a festive Jewish holiday. This celebration takes place on the fourteenth and fifteenth days of the twelfth month of the Jewish calendar. After the story, we made graggers, which are noisemakers. A gragger is used to make a loud noise every time the name Haman is mentioned during the story of Purim. We made our graggers using a folded paper plate and rice then we decorated them using felt tip pen.
